Christmas day 1995. The front room of the Watson family goes into hyperspace as Mr Watson finally manages to hook up the Norwegian Pine Inter Dimensional Accelerator (patent pending).
They traverse galaxies, visit far off moons and encounter life forms beyond imagination.
Dusty wakes to find himself in an adjacent dimension, weightless and without any dinner. He shows his disgust by peeing on the Christmas tree, causing the accelerator to short circuit and trapping the family on the desolate planet of Skanbog 5 for all eternity. Which, in Dusty's mind, makes them all equal after Mr Watson got him neutered several weeks earlier.
